For specifications and limits, see the Reference Tab.
Consult HTML manual supplied with this distribution
for detailed descriptions, instructions, procedures,
panel operation, detailed specifications and limits.
Operation of Radar or TCAS equipment not included.
WARNING: FS standard Clear and Calm produces too-warm
high altitude weather for rated cruise performance
in this aircraft.
AutoThrottle is always engaged.
Saved flight at Beale AFB (KBAB) provided with this
distribution will provide best cockpit setup and
default high altitude weather for stable flight.

FUEL CALCULATION (lbs)
(Based on Averages) |
| CLIMB | CRUISE | DESCENT |
KNOTS (true) | 900 | 1780 | 700 |
FUEL RATE (lbs/hr) | 28900 | 38100 | 12300 |
ALT RATE (ft/min) | 1920 | | 2900 |
Determine estimated fuel for entire flight route.
Add Reserve: 10000 lbs.
Northern Hemisphere:
Flight to East: Subtract 1000 lbs.
Flight to West: Add 1000 lbs.
Based on calculation, use one of three STD loads:
45K lbs (all tanks 56%) for flights less than 1 hour, 1000 miles or less or tanker intercept.
55.6K lbs (all tanks 69%) for flights 1.5 to 2.0 hours or 1000 to 1500 miles.
66K lbs (all tanks 83%) for flights 2-3 hours or 1500 to 2500 miles.
Use air refueling for flights 3500 miles or more allowing for 10K lbs landing fuel.
Most 120 - 150 minute missions will use the 66K lbs load
without refueling. Model is optimized for this load.
Best max take off performance using 45K lb load.
Full Fuel take off not recommended due to marginal
engine out power, long take off run, poor handling and climb, and excessive fuel rates.
Consult HTML manual for descent schedules,
emergency conditions recovery and
performance limits.
