Addit! Pro For Prepar3D V8.2.1 – Improvements and Changes

Addit! Pro For Prepar3D is a full-featured addon manager for Lockheed Martin Prepar3D. Easily install, manage and remove aircraft, adventures, flights, flight plans, gauges, missions, panels, A.I. airport and facilities data, scenery, sounds, textures, videos, weather and more!

Addon History

Addon Installation

bulletAdded an option to automatically install scenery to a new subfolder named after the addon zip file. It also sets the title and picks a scenery picture for you. To enable this feature go into Customize > Addon Installation > Automation 2, and in the Scenery section check the box called "Install scenery to a new subfolder named after the addon zip filename".
bulletImproved automatic assignment of scenery pictures.
 

Addon Installation Wizard

bulletAdded shortcuts: INSERT - flag item "install", DELETE - flag item "do not install", Control-C - copy installation folder, Control-V - paste installation folder, Control-O - open item.

Addon Repair

bulletAddit! Pro can now use Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 files to help repair Prepar3D addons. To enable this feature go into Customize > Addon Repair > Repair Method and check the box called "Use FS2004 files to repair Prepar3D addons".

Customize

bulletAdded a new scenery installation option. You can opt to install scenery to a new scenery subfolder named after the addon. For example, if your addon is called "La Guardia Airport.zip" and your default scenery installation folder is set to "Prepar3D\Addon Scenery folder", the installed addon's scenery files will go to "Prepar3D\Addon Scenery\La Guardia Airport\Scenery".
bulletAdded an option to use FS2004 files to help repair broken addons.

Edit Aircraft

bulletAdded a Repair button to the aircraft, panel and sound configuration report window.
bulletAdded shortcuts: INSERT - add new aircraft variant, DELETE - delete aircraft variant, F2 - rename aircraft, Control-E - explore folder, Control-H - hide selected aircraft, Control-O - open configuration file, Control-S - show selected aircraft, Control-R - repair selected aircraft, Control-V validate selected aircraft.

Fixes

bulletCorrected a problem processing the default flight file in Prepar3D v2.x+.
bulletFixed a bug in the sound configuration report window where clicking OK could trigger a repair operation.

bulletCorrected a problem in all list views where the right-click menu could get blocked and not appear.
bulletFixed a potential "Error #9: Subscript out of range" issue dealing with importing addons.

Addit! Pro For Prepar3D is a full-featured addon manager for Lockheed Martin Prepar3D. Easily install, manage and remove aircraft, adventures, flights, flight plans, gauges, missions, panels, A.I. airport and facilities data, scenery, sounds, textures, videos, weather and more!

Addon Installation

bulletAdded support for XML based Flights introduced in Prepar3D V2.0.
bulletAddit! Pro checks for aircraft title conflicts immediately after aircraft installation. You can still perform a manual check by opening the Edit Aircraft window.

Addon Management

bulletAdded a "Statistics" item to several addon menus. This creates a report showing the total number of addons you have, total addon size, total number of files, your largest addon and more. Open Addit! Pro's main menu, click Addons and pick "Statistics". You will also find this new option in the addon menu of the Work With Addons window.
bulletEZdok Camera Addon files (including .vib, .ecs, .lim and .cam files) are now installed to the aircraft root folder instead of to Addit! Pro's storage folder.

Addon Import

bulletXML based flight files (.fxml) are now imported as Flights.
bulletThe import process now picks up EZdok Camera Addon files.

Addon Installation Wizard

bulletThe addon picture filter now includes PNG files so you can more easily select this file type as an aircraft, panel, or scenery picture.

bulletIt should no longer be possible to resize the drive, folder, file and zip boxes so small you can no longer grab the edges to make them large again.

Customize

bulletAdded an option to check for title conflicts after aircraft installation. Open the Customize window, select Addon Installation > Automation 1. Under Aircraft, check the box called "Check for title conflicts after aircraft installation".

Edit Aircraft

bulletAdded a new texture section showing the texture configuration of the aircraft. Click the texture field to select from a menu of possible texture sets. Pick one to update the aircraft with your new choice of textures.
bulletAdded a shortcut CONTROL-E to Explore the selected aircraft folder.

General

bulletYou can use Addit! Pro with either Prepar3D V1.x or V2.x installed on the same PC. On first launch, Addit! Pro will ask which version of Prepar3D you want to use. Select V1.x or V2.x.
bulletAdded Sim Files to the Program Information screen. This is the location to your simulator files (where your saved Flights are stored).
bulletUpdated the main Help menu. Added "Online Guides" and "Top Addon Sites". Replaced "Report a Bug" with "Online Support".
bulletAdded a new main menu option called Register for easy new user access to the registration screen. This item disappears after registration.
bulletReplaced the default toolbar Help button with the Exit button and removed the default Addon History button. Please note this only impacts the default buttons for new users and you can add the buttons back if you prefer.
bulletThe addon repair feature will scan more locations to find missing files.

Fixes

bulletFixed window title issue, personal files fixed folder values lacking a "v2" suffix, and other Prepar3D compatibility fixes.
bulletFixed a rare bug during the installation of a panel.cfg that could trigger an error message.
bulletFixed a missing icon bug in the Recent Items tab area on the Select Addon Files and Browse Folders screens.
bulletThe Work With Addons screen now properly indicates items that were imported from a folder.
